Code of Conduct
The Liberty Mentorship Program is dedicated to fostering leadership, discipline, and technical innovation in young men. This Code of Conduct ensures a respectful, productive, and safe environment for all participants.
Expectations for Mentees & Mentors

Leadership & Professionalism
Demonstrate integrity, responsibility, and respect in all interactions. Follow the 14 leadership traits and 11 leadership principles of the U.S. Marine Corps. Represent the program positively, both in-person and online.

Respect for Others
Treat fellow mentees, mentors, and staff with respect and courtesy. No bullying, discrimination, or harassment of any kind. Listen actively, engage in discussions, and respect differing viewpoints.

Responsibility & Commitment
Attend all bi-weekly mentorship meetings unless excused in advance. Communicate regularly with your mentor—ask for help when needed. Take ownership of your project and make progress between meetings.

Respect for Equipment & Technology
Handle all hardware, software, and tools responsibly. Use prototyping materials and computing resources ethically. Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment immediately.

Ethical Use of Technology
Use all program resources, including computers and software, for constructive, educational purposes. No hacking, piracy, or misuse of proprietary information. Protect sensitive data—maintain confidentiality of mentee and mentor discussions.
Consequences for Violations
Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in:
- A verbal warning from a mentor or program leader.
- A formal review and discussion with leadership.
- Suspension or removal from the mentorship program, if necessary.
